Summer Camp 2003

July 2003. International summer camp for orphans from the psycho-neurological orphanage-internat in the Russian village of Belskoye Ustye. (20 km from the town of Porkhov, 100 km from Pskov)

Students Pedagogical Team

The Students Pedagogical Team includes International teacher trainee and student volunteers from Russia, Great Britain, France, Mexico and Hungary who have since 2000, been attending the Summer Camp at the Belskoye Ustye orphanage which houses live 120 orphans with physical and psychological difficulties (Pskov region).

The Team's Programme includes education and developmental activities, crafts and sport. International teacher trainee and student volunteers organize interesting lessons and activities which stimulate the children's mental development and handicraft skills and also increase their self-esteem and, encourage them to be more outgoing and creative. The orphans keep these positive memories with them in the intervening months till the following summer. This summer holiday has become something of a tradition, which all the children look forward to.

The ROOF organizers of the Summer camp together with the International teacher trainee and student volunteers from Russia, Great Britain, France, Mexico and Hungary, are currently raising funds for the 4th Belskoye Ustye orphanage Summer Camp. We are extremely grateful for donations in support of this project.
